What is RUFREE
RUFREE turns your timetable into something you can share. Once it is imported you can find free time you share with friends, subscribe to course announcements, and let Assistant pull exams and assignments out of a syllabus as a draft.
Who it is for
Section titled “Who it is for”The focus is life at the University of Toronto, across three campuses:
- St. George (
uoft-st-george) - Mississauga / UTM (
uoft-utm) - Scarborough / UTSC (
uoft-utsc)
Your campus is set in your profile and determines which terms you see.
How the features depend on each other
Section titled “How the features depend on each other”Some features have an order to them, and skipping a step means the next one cannot work:
Import your timetable (.ics) ├── Shared free time / group sharing ├── Calendar subscription links (export back to your own calendar app) ├── Course feed subscriptions ── needs the course in your active timetable └── Syllabus upload ── needs an active timetable for that term └── Assistant drafts ── reach your calendar only after you approve them └── Automatic exam updates ── need both a syllabus exam and a feedIn short: import your timetable first.
Time zone
Section titled “Time zone”Your account has its own time zone, America/Toronto by default, and every time in
the calendar is rendered in it. Opening RUFREE from somewhere else does not change
that — so check the times right after importing.
