Calendar subscription links

You can generate a subscription link that feeds your RUFREE schedule into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook and similar apps, keeping them in sync.

A group link requires choosing the group first, then ticking which members to include.

Creating one

1. Choose the scope and give the link a name.

2. Optionally set an expiry. Without one it lasts indefinitely. An expiry has to be in the future.

3. Generate it.

   The link is shown once

   Copy it immediately. RUFREE does not store the link itself, so it cannot be shown again after you close the dialog. If you lose it, revoke it and make a new one.

4. Add the address to your calendar app.

Handling it safely

Caution

Anyone with the link can read that schedule without signing in to RUFREE.

• Keep it out of public places, including public bug reports
• Revoke it the moment you suspect it leaked
• Generate separate links for separate purposes, so one problem means revoking one link
• Set an expiry for anything temporary

Revoking

A link can be revoked at any time. Calendar apps subscribed to it get nothing on their next refresh.

How often it updates

That is up to your calendar app, not RUFREE. Most clients refresh only every few hours, so a timetable change will not appear immediately.
