Sharing feeds with classmates

Usually one person per course needs to subscribe for everyone to benefit. Sharing is optional and off by default.

What gets shared

With sharing on, classmates who have the same course can see the posts and exam times that subscription reads.

Whether your name shows

There are two independent switches:

  1. Share with classmates — whether the content is shared at all
  2. Show my name to friends — whether the shared content is attributed to you

The second only means anything when the first is on. Turn it off and classmates see the posts without knowing who supplied them.

If you have not subscribed to a course but a classmate has shared theirs, you see their posts under that course, along with whether the source is in your section, how many posts there are, and when it last updated.

You can stop at any time

Change the switches whenever you like. Once off, classmates stop seeing new content from your subscription.
